Is AT&T 3G Microcell Release Imminent?

September 19, 2009

If  Zacks Equity Research is to be believed, the 3G Microcell I’ve been using for months as a trial user for AT&T is finally going to become available to subscribers in select markets (Atlanta, San Antonio, Seattle, and North Carolina).  The sooner this thing is available en masse, the better off AT&T’s network is going to be.  Based on my experiences with it so far, it is definitely ready for prime time.

It does look like it will be doing the market test launch next week. I am kind of jealous that the Atlanta area is one of those markets. I need one soooo bad!

From people calling their local stores it looks like the price will be $150 (not bad) with 100 dollars off if you sign up for a year contract with the 20 dollar (family) unlimited microcell plan.
